Herbfarm offered helping hand from local animal shelter

A Marysville animal shelter is helping out a farm that lost dozens of chickens over the holiday season.

The owners of the Herbfarm in Woodinville say about a week ago, coyotes broke through a fence and killed nearly all of their chickens.

The animals were being specially raised for their eggs, which would have eventually been used in their restaurant.
??? ?
Today, the Forgotten Kingdom decided to help out by donating several chickens to help the farm get back on its feet.

"Just trying to help out the community. It's a great restaurant, and just wanted to see what we could do," said Paul Lewis, owner of Forgotten Kingdom. ?

The Forgotten Kingdom specializes in providing shelter and care for stray reptiles, rodents, birds, farm animals and small "exotic" animals.

Workers at the Herbfarm say this is a generous donation and they are happy to have such strong support from their neighbors.
